A spectrometer was also brought to bear on the light allowing the team to compare the spectrum of the Paulding light to the spectrum of various automotive headlamps.

Additional verification was achieved by recording the traffic flow at the source location and examining the correlations both heuristically and stochastically. The candidate source location was then validated by first, recreating the light using a stopped vehicle. Beginning with observation through a telescope, the team moved to using tools such as detailed topographical maps and more common tools such as Google Street View to identify a candidate source location. Our team applied a number of techniques toward identifying and then verifying the source location of the Paulding Light. These investigators also failed to address claims that the light appeared to move or dance along the horizon. Previous investigations by paranormal skeptics attributed the lights to automobile headlights though the exact source location was not identified. A team was formed pairing graduate and undergraduate researchers and under guidance from faculty. As a student-run research project The Michigan Tech Student Chapter of the SPIE initiated a project in 2008 to understand the cause of the Paulding Lights. In local legends, the origin of the light is often attributed to the paranormal. Each evening up to a hundred spectators gather at the end of a washed out road to observe the flickering light.
Christopher Middlebrook The Paulding Mystery Light is a purportedly unexplained optical phenomenon, occurring nightly, deep in the woods of Michigans Upper Peninsula. But with expert tips by phone, email or the Eastwood Garage, you'll be installing springs and replacing control arm bushings in no time.Jeremy Bos, Michael Maurer, Douglas Sims Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisors: Dr. Our team realizes there are many car enthusiasts out there who haven't worked with these types of tools before. We also have precision digital tire pressure gauges that read down to 0.1 PSI increments for when handling needs to be just right. Once you've used our coil spring compressors, axle pullers, camber and caster gauges or U-joint tools, you won't be able to imagine shop work without them. Many of the suspension tools you see here are designed to do one or two specific tasks and be the absolute best at them.
Ordinary wrenches, hammers and pry bars aren't going to cut it with most suspension parts.
AUTOMOTIVE ALIGNMENT TOOLS PORTABLE
If your vehicle is pulling in an unwanted direction or the tire wear is off, use a portable alignment system to get the wheels pointed where you need them to go.

Eastwood has 4-in-1 ball joint kits for removing or installing most joints, pickle fork kits for separating joints and tie rods, bearing driver sets for inserting seals and adapter kits for setting toe. Instead of searching out every piece you need separately, save money and time by picking up a suspension tool kit. Order front suspension tools from Fairmount Tools, QuickTrick, Fastrax and other brands along with tools we've developed in-house. Our tools will keep your car driving straight and true after every project (unless you're an oval track racer who wants to go left). Instead of taking a chance with common garage tools for maintenance and repair, find the right suspension tool by shopping at Eastwood.
